A practical workflow for creators and agencies
Use Unly to start your Uncove automation setup through its Unbot partner route. Before you switch on anything, make the content workflow clear: which media is ready, where it belongs, who publishes it and how you check the result.
Start with a media inventory and a publishing brief. Keep a record of each use. Then choose Uncove in Unly’s Add account flow and continue on Unbot for the connection and configuration.
What are you managing on an Uncove account?
Uncove OFM applies creator management methods to an Uncove account. Here, the main job is organizing content and the work around it: preparing files, choosing their audience, publishing, checking what happened and deciding what to reuse. The OFM overview explains the broader management model.
A useful handoff answers a concrete question: can someone pick the right file and use it correctly without asking the creator to explain the whole shoot again? If the answer is no, fix the brief before adding more posts or messages.
The creator decides
Approve the content, intended audience and limits. Decide whether an asset can be reused and who can change that decision.
The manager prepares
Find the approved file, write the publication brief and record its use. Resolve missing information before publishing.
The reviewer checks
Compare the published content with the brief. Record the actual audience, caption and file so the next task starts with the right history.
One person can cover all three roles on a solo account. In a team, name the person responsible for each task. “The team will check it” leaves the check unassigned.
Organize media by the decision someone needs to make
A folder full of finished files still leaves questions. Is this the teaser or the full clip? Has it already been published? Is it approved for a paid offer? Keep those answers next to the asset in your team’s content tracker.
Use a name such as morning-routine_teaser_v1.mp4 and keep the related full clip under the same shoot reference. A new filename alone does not mean the content is new. Record the asset’s intended use and its publication history as well.
| Status | What it means | Next action |
|---|---|---|
| Raw | The file still needs editing or a content check. | Assign the missing task. Keep it outside the ready-to-publish selection. |
| Ready | The final file, caption, audience and publication brief are approved. | Check the publication settings against the brief, then publish. |
| Used | The asset has been published or sent. | Record where and when. Review that history before another use. |
| Retired | The asset should no longer be used in new tasks. | Remove it from the working selection and keep the reason in the tracker. |
For storage inside Uncove, its official Cloud guide describes adding media, a description and a collection. Use the description to identify the actual contents and the collection to group related assets. Keep your task status and use history in the tracker alongside that library.
Turn one shoot into separate, usable publication tasks
A shoot can produce a public teaser, a subscriber set and a private paid clip. Treat them as separate deliverables. For each one, decide what the audience will receive before writing a caption or an offer.
Uncove’s publishing guide distinguishes public content, subscriber-only content, paid pushes and media for sale. Choose the publication type that matches the brief. A file being in your Cloud is a storage step; it does not tell the team which audience you intended.
-
Write the brief
For the public teaser, specify the file, caption and audience. For the subscriber set, list the included photos. For the paid clip, describe what the buyer receives and record the approved price.
-
Prepare the final assets
Check that each file opens, matches its description and has the right version. Mark an asset Ready when both the file and its publication brief are approved.
-
Check the destination
Match the publication type to the brief. For a paid private message, Uncove’s Media Push guide lists the price, target account type and download permission among the settings. Check those choices before sending.
-
Publish and record the result
Check the post or send in Uncove, then record the file, date, destination and person responsible. Mark it Used after confirming the action happened.
A publication brief you can reuse
File: morning-routine_teaser_v1.mp4
Destination: Uncove public post.
Audience: profile visitors.
Caption: “A quick look at this morning’s routine.”
Owner: account manager.
Release check: creator has approved the final clip and caption.
Give the full paid clip its own brief. If that clip is missing, keep its offer pending. An available teaser cannot stand in for a clip the fan would be paying to receive.
Track use before increasing volume or changing the offer
Keep a short publication log: asset reference, date, publication type, audience, caption or offer, and an observation to review. You need enough detail to explain a change. “This shoot worked” is too broad if one post attracted comments while the paid clip was never sent.
At the next review, choose one change to make. If a file was missed, fix the task assignment. If the offer described the wrong contents, fix the description. If you are considering reuse, check the previous audience and make the new offer clear about what it contains.
Uncove’s visibility guidance recommends regular quality posts and direct community interaction. Use that to plan a manageable schedule. Adding volume while the team loses track of files gives you more tasks to repair.
When the question becomes performance, the creator KPI guide helps frame the review. Compare the same period length and separate public engagement from paid-media purchases. Otherwise, a change in one can hide a change in the other.
Use Unly’s partner route with a brief you can check
In Unly, choose Uncove in Add account. The information window links to Unbot, where you continue the Uncove connection and configuration. Uncove credentials are not entered in that Unly flow.
Complete the publishing workflow above in Uncove. Take the media inventory and account rules into the Unbot setup, then match each action you want to automate to a setting you can see there. Check the scope of that action and its result before expanding its use.
Prepare: approved media, descriptions, intended uses and creator limits.
Start in Unly: Add account → Uncove → partner information window.
Continue on Unbot: open the partner site and review the available account settings.
Check the outcome: compare the completed action with your brief before expanding its use.
Use a concrete acceptance check: “This action must use the approved clip, describe its contents accurately and respect the account’s rules.” If the result is unclear, resolve that step before adding another automated task. Keep custom promises and changes to the creator’s limits for the person responsible for the account.
Make the next step small enough to verify
Prepare one shoot, one publication brief and one review owner. Start with Unly, select Uncove and follow the partner route to Unbot. For a wider agency workflow, read the Unly OFM software guide.
