Automate fan chatting with Unly in your creator’s voice

Set a clear voice, automate the repeatable work and decide where a human takes over. A practical guide to replies, PPV offers, follow-ups and fan boundaries.

Dylan M.

A practical split between automation, assistance and human decisions

Unly handles fan conversations, media offers and configured follow-ups in your creator’s voice. VIP fans can be included in the agent’s scope too. You keep the creative and business decisions for the account. Stop selling an offer when a fan declines it.

Unly gives you concrete settings for this: a creator profile, languages, emojis, reply timing, follow-up examples, media details and the fans your agent handles. Use them to define how your account speaks and where automation stops.

Decide by the message, not just the workload

A busy inbox contains very different tasks. Answering a question about an existing video is repeatable. Agreeing to a custom request creates a commitment. Separate those tasks before deciding how much chatting to automate.

Use this decision grid to assign each conversation task
SituationWho handles it?What must be clear first?
Welcome or basic content questionAutomate a prepared message or a factual reply.Use approved facts and ask a useful question. Avoid an invented personal detail.
Simple follow-up after expressed interestAutomate within a defined follow-up cadence.Refer to that interest. Check for a refusal or a changed request.
Standard PPV offerReview the setup; automate within the configured catalogue. The media description, price and offer wording must match what the fan receives.
Tailored PPV offer or price objectionLet Unly handle the exchange.Prepare the media, prices and commercial instructions during setup.
An unclear request or simple objectionLet the agent continue the conversation.Give it the catalog information and account instructions it needs.
VIP fan or regular buyerInclude the fan in Unly’s scope.Use the same creator voice and prepared catalog. Decide personally which new custom services you will produce.
Clear refusalStop promoting that offer.Distinguish “no to this video” from “do not contact me again.” Respect both.

Unly runs the configured chatting without a chatter approving each message. You can choose personal conversations to retain, alongside the agent’s work. For a fuller staffing decision, read AI chatters versus human chatters.

Turn your voice into instructions someone can use

“Sound natural” leaves too much open. Describe your sentence length, vocabulary, use of emojis and level of familiarity. Add the things you would never say. Someone reading the brief should be able to recognize an off-brand reply without guessing.

Nielsen Norman Group’s tone framework separates formality, humour, respectfulness and enthusiasm. Use those dimensions to make your choices explicit, then translate them into message rules. Your account can stay casual while a complaint needs a calm, direct answer.

How you speak

Short, casual replies. One question at a time. Light teasing when the fan is playful. No pet names unless that is already part of the relationship.

What you can say

Approved interests, account information and accurate media details. No invented location, activity, availability or personal promise.

When the tone changes

A refusal gets a short acknowledgement. A complaint gets a factual answer. A custom request gets questions and human review before an agreement.

In Unly, put your approved creator details and communication guidance in the profile’s Other / Biography field. Set the primary and secondary languages, choose emoji frequency and the allowed emojis, then add follow-up examples. Those examples guide the angle and tone of follow-ups; they are not messages the agent simply copies word for word.

A voice brief you can adapt

Use short, casual sentences. Ask one relevant question at a time. Keep emojis occasional. Use only the creator details and media information provided. Do not invent what I am doing now. Acknowledge a declined offer without trying to sell it again. Leave custom commitments and price exceptions for review.

This brief defines the desired behaviour. Pair it with fan selection and alert settings so situations needing review can pause automated replies.

Start with replies and follow-ups you already understand

Prepare answers about your existing content first. Describe the media accurately, set its base price and check any initial or follow-up messages attached to it in Unly. An agent cannot make a useful offer from an unclear catalogue.

Next, add a follow-up that refers to the fan’s request. If they asked about a particular set and stopped replying, a brief question about that set has a purpose. A generic “hey” followed by another unrelated PPV offer does not resolve their request.

A useful follow-up keeps the original request in view

Fan

Do you have more from the studio set?

Reply

There’s another set from that shoot. Want the details?

Later follow-up, if still appropriate

Still interested in the studio set, or were you looking for something different?

When to use it: only after silence, with no refusal and within your chosen follow-up cadence.

The wording can vary. The useful parts stay: the right subject, no invented urgency and room for the fan to decline. Configure Unly’s reply delay and follow-up settings around the rhythm you want, then review what was actually sent. See how to follow up without spamming for the cadence decision.

A prepared welcome message is a separate automation from an ongoing AI conversation. Fansly documents event-triggered messages with delays and cooldowns. MYM documents subscription-related messages, including welcomes and renewals. Check any native messages already active on your account so your workflow does not send overlapping welcomes or reminders.

Recognize the moment a reply becomes a decision

An ordinary content question can become a custom order in the next message. A fan may ask for a special price, refer to an earlier promise or challenge what they received. At that point, understanding the commitment matters more than producing a quick reply.

A refusal changes the next action

Fan

No thanks, I’m not buying that video.

Suitable response

No problem 🙂

What changes: do not send another follow-up for this offer. Include that response in your account instructions: acknowledge the refusal and continue the ordinary conversation when the fan wants to chat.

A custom request needs human approval of the commitment

Fan

Can you make something just for me and have it ready tonight?

Human decision: the creator or designated manager checks whether the request is accepted, what can be delivered, the price and the timing. Until those points are agreed, do not confirm the order.

Unly can handle important buyers as well as new fans. Choose the agent’s scope from your organization and the account’s offer. The creator decides which new content or personal service they agree to produce.

Give human review a clear place in the workflow

In Unly, choose all fans, a whitelist or a blacklist for the agent’s scope. A whitelist is useful for a controlled start. Exclude fans you want to keep manual. You can also pause the agent at account level when you need a broader stop.

Custom alerts let you describe situations that need attention and can pause a conversation when one is detected. Include clear refusals and requests to stop contact alongside disputes and custom commitments. Choose manual resumption and an email or Discord notification route your team checks. Assign someone to review these alerts; a paused conversation still needs a decision. During your inbox reviews, check whether the expected pause occurred and whether any unwanted follow-up was sent.

  1. Define the stop situation

Describe the trigger clearly: a declined offer, a request to stop contact, a dispute about purchased content or a commitment requiring creator approval.

  2. Keep the conversation under human control

For an alert, review the paused conversation. If you need to intervene outside an alert, exclude the fan from the agent’s scope or pause the account.

  3. Read the thread and resolve the request

Use the platform’s native inbox. Read the messages leading up to the issue and the media involved before replying. Check any previous agreement.

  4. Decide whether automation should resume

Update the relevant media information or rule if needed. Resume only when the next replies fit your workflow; keep the fan excluded if the relationship should stay manual.

Review voice and decisions separately

The creator profile defines the voice; media descriptions and prices define the offers. Use the account’s activity and sales statistics to understand demand and develop the catalog while Unly handles the chatting.

  • Voice: would you use these words, sentence lengths, emojis and pet names? If not, tighten the profile guidance and follow-up examples.
  • Context: does the reply address the fan’s latest request? Check the preceding messages before treating a follow-up as appropriate.
  • Accuracy: does the offer match the media description and configured price? Correct the catalogue if the source information is wrong.
  • Boundary: did promotion stop after a refusal, and did a commitment needing approval reach human review? Narrow the agent’s fan scope or revise the alert setup when needed.

Update the creator profile when the account’s voice evolves, and update the catalog when new content is ready. Your agent uses the account configuration for its conversations and offers.

Questions

Keeping your voice in automated chats

Give the agent concrete guidance: how you speak, which facts it can use, your languages, emoji habits and follow-up examples. In Unly, configure these in the creator profile and agent settings, then review actual conversations.
