To set your MYM subscription price, first describe what a fan receives each month. Then work out how many subscriptions would cover the planned work. Another creator's price can give you context, but it does not account for your costs, audience or separately sold media.
The useful pricing question
What price fits a clear offer I can deliver consistently? Choose a starting price, keep the offer stable and measure paid subscriptions and renewals. A low price that cannot fund the content is difficult to sustain.

Describe what the subscription includes
A MYM subscription unlocks the blurred content on the creator's profile. Additional media can be sold separately. Make that distinction clear before purchase. A fan should not need to subscribe to discover that the series featured in your promotion costs extra.
Write one sentence covering publishing frequency, included content and important limits. For example: “A new photo series and behind-the-scenes posts on the feed each week. Catalog videos and custom requests are offered separately.” Use that example only if it accurately describes your offer.
Avoid “unlimited content” or “access to everything” if you intend to sell extras. Also avoid promising permanent personal availability through a subscription you want to grow. Each additional benefit must remain deliverable as subscriber numbers increase.
A feed-focused offer
The subscription funds a clearly described publishing schedule. A fan should be able to enjoy their purchase without ordering additional media.
A subscription with extras
The feed has value in its own right. Additional series or requests have a separate description and price.
Use the MYM bio guide to improve the explanation. Clearer copy can address a conversion problem without changing the price.
Calculate what the offer requires
List time spent preparing, shooting, selecting content, publishing and supporting the account. Add expenses directly associated with the offer. Separate this from work on individually sold media so the same cost does not appear twice in your calculation.
The amount a fan sees is not your payout. Payment fees, platform deductions and taxes shown during purchase can create a difference. Use actual statement amounts to manage the account and keep the calculation basis consistent across periods.
Illustrative coverage calculation
Assume €180 in expenses and 12 hours valued at €20, giving a monthly cost of €420. If your observed average net revenue per subscription is €7, you need 60 subscriptions to cover that €420. This covers only the costs included in the example; it is not final business profit.
The €20 hourly value and €7 net amount are assumptions, not recommended rates or a MYM fee schedule. Replace them with your figures. Before you have sales, prepare several possible net-revenue scenarios and validate them against your first statements.
If the required volume is far above the audience you can reach, revisit the offer, production workload or acquisition plan. Lowering the price often increases the number of subscriptions needed to fund the same work.
Test one hypothesis at a time
Choose an initial price from the options available in your account. Record the date, included offer, traffic sources and active promotions. If you later change the price, keep content, presentation and acquisition effort as stable as you reasonably can.
| Measure | Scenario A | Scenario B |
|---|---|---|
| Observed visits | 1,000 | 1,000 |
| Price used in this example | €10 | €15 |
| Paid subscriptions | 40 | 30 |
| Subscriptions divided by visits | 4% | 3% |
| Subscription revenue before fees | €400 | €450 |
In this fictional example, conversion falls while subscription revenue rises by 12.5%. It does not prove that raising your price will work. It shows why the number of new subscribers is not enough to evaluate a pricing decision.
A before-and-after comparison is affected by traffic quality, timing and published content. Record those changes. If there are only a few purchases, treat the result as a signal to investigate. Two sales cannot establish a reliable pricing rule.
Separate the regular price, discounts and renewals
An introductory discount tests a different proposition from the regular price. Group the fans who joined through that offer and watch what happens after their first period. Their initial purchase does not show they will accept the next price.
State how long the discount lasts and what comes next. MYM offers monthly and six-month subscriptions with automatic renewal that fans can turn off. Do not present a monthly equivalent as though it were the full payment required for a longer subscription period.
Before changing a price, check the conditions shown in your account for existing subscribers and new purchases. Do not assume a price update immediately applies to everybody. Tell affected fans specifically what changes in their offer.
- Regular and promotional prices are clearly separated.
- The duration of each offer is visible.
- The total payment for the complete period is clear.
- Included content and extras are distinct.
- Renewals are reviewed by the group that joined together.
Use the guide to MYM promotions and profitability when considering a discount. If fans leave after their first month, examine the value delivered before renewal instead.
Make a monthly pricing decision
At the end of the period, record one row per offer: available visits, new paid subscriptions, net subscription revenue, media buyers, subscriptions that reached renewal and hours worked. Keep PPV revenue separate before examining the combined result.
When visits are low, limited sales are not enough to blame the price. If visitors repeatedly ask what is included, improve the explanation. If fans buy and then leave, check what they actually received before running another discount.
Choose one action for the next month: keep the price, clarify the offer, reduce a production cost or test a different price. Write down the reason and the measure you will review. This creates a useful record of decisions rather than a series of unexplained changes.
Review that record before copying a competitor's promotion. Your own history shows which traffic, offer and workload produced the result. A visible subscription price on another profile does not reveal any of those details.
Keep the sales explanation consistent
Prepare your account instructions and media catalog in Unly. Conversations should respect what the subscription already includes. The subscription price itself is managed in MYM; prices for separately sold media are a different decision.
