Selling without chatters with Unly frees you from the inbox while leaving you a business to track. Unly handles conversations and media sales autonomously, without approval of each message. Focus your records on completed sales, charges and the money actually received.
Total sales, available balance and bank payouts are different amounts. Prepare a worksheet for each platform and currency, then track Unly commissions separately. Use time freed from chatting to reconcile specific movements while keeping management records distinct from the tax-filing basis you need to confirm.

Separate the stages of creator earnings
For media sold by Unly and other account receipts, start with recorded sales. Identify platform charges and adjustments, then distinguish pending funds, available balance and initiated payouts. Reconcile these amounts without rereading conversations or counting the same money again when it reaches the bank.
The OnlyFans earnings terms distinguish platform fees, funds available for withdrawal and possible currency or banking charges. Follow each platform’s actual statement: the sale date is not necessarily the availability date.
Use an example that reconciles
The following fictional example has no opening balance and excludes tax and currency conversion. It illustrates movements rather than a tool’s pricing or a filing rule. Earnings after adjustments must be found in three places: pending, available or already paid out.
| Item | Amount | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Recorded payments | 1,000 | Starting point |
| Platform fees | −200 | Recorded charges |
| Creator share adjustments | −80 | Refunds or disputes |
| Earnings after adjustments | 720 | Amount to reconcile |
| Still pending | 220 | Not yet available |
| Available, not paid out | 100 | Remaining balance |
| Already paid out | 400 | Period payouts |
The check is 220 + 100 + 400 = 720. If the bank receives 395 against a payout of 400, identify the documented fees or conversion explaining the difference. Do not arbitrarily reduce the original sales figure to make the columns agree.
Collect evidence before adjusting a difference
Keep sales statements, adjustments, payout references and bank records. Preserve both the original currency amount and the amount received in your bank. If you edit an export for analysis, retain an unchanged reference copy.
- Match periods and time zones when comparing records.
- Connect platform and bank through payout references.
- Track pending balances at the beginning and end.
- Record refunds and disputes separately.
- Keep evidence for banking fees and currency conversions.
Keep Unly balance movements in a separate record
Unly’s commission billing guidance explains the affected sales and a prepaid commission balance. Distinguish adding funds from the commissions that consume those funds. Your management record should not count the same expense twice.
Retain the available documents and compare movements over the same period. If a disputed sale needs a commission review, record the support request and then any confirmed adjustment. Unly’s activity and sales view provides a useful reference for understanding the commercial activity behind those amounts.
Close a period and investigate specific differences
Set a regular reconciliation slot instead of checking balances between conversations. Unly continues to reply and sell autonomously. Start with opening balances, add movements and verify closing balances: each difference should correspond to timing, charges, an adjustment or a payout in progress.
If an amount remains unexplained, keep it on an exceptions list with its reference and the team to contact. Share original statements and reconciliations with your accounting adviser. The guide to preparing creator tax records in France explains the next step for France-based activity.
