A useful schedule starts with ready content
Yes, scheduling MYM posts helps when you already know what to publish, who should see it and why. Unly automates recurring MYM posts from dedicated media collections, using your publishing times and captions. You keep the editorial decisions: the audience, the content, the offer and what needs a fresh review.
Start with a week of approved content. If you are still sorting files or deciding which material belongs in a paid offer, finish that work before you turn on publishing.
When scheduling helps your MYM account
Scheduling is useful when publishing interrupts work you have already planned. A prepared photo can go live while you are filming or away from your desk. An unfinished caption or an unclear offer will still need your attention, however many time slots you add.
| Your situation | Next action | What to check first |
|---|---|---|
| Approved posts sit unpublished because you are busy | Set a manageable recurring schedule in Unly. | The source collection contains only ready media. |
| A launch needs one exact file and caption on one date | Prepare an individually scheduled post in MYM. | The announcement, release date and promised content agree. |
| You keep repeating the same set with no clear purpose | Review the content plan before adding more slots. | Each post gives a fan a reason to look, respond or stay subscribed. |
| Content depends on a personal update or a fan request | Review it close to publication. | The context and the creator's approval are still current. |
MYM already supports scheduled public and private posts, plus scheduled push messages. Its scheduling guide explains these options. Unly adds a recurring workflow around your media collections, with a status check and publication history.
Give posts, stories and paid content different jobs
Decide the audience before you put a file into a collection. A public preview, a subscriber post and a paid offer should not share the same publishing pool.
Public feed post
Give visitors a clear idea of your account. MYM makes public feed content visible beyond your subscribers and excludes explicit content from public posts.
Prepare: a suitable preview that stands on its own.
Private feed post
Give existing subscribers something worth returning for. MYM's blurred feed content is accessible to subscribers; it is different from a separate paid media purchase.
Prepare: content intended for the subscription.
Story
Share a short update or a behind-the-scenes moment. MYM stories are free and remain visible for 24 hours. Unly's automatic MYM stories use their own collections and publish to all MYM users.
Prepare: material suitable for that broader audience.
Push or private media offer
Present a specific piece of paid content to the relevant audience. Keep its description and price clear, and store the full content outside the public post collection.
Prepare: the actual offer before writing its teaser.
Check MYM's content types guide when choosing a destination. For the selling workflow, read automating MYM chat and private media sales.
Set up a publishing workflow in Unly
Open your connected MYM account's configuration and go to its automations. The Automatic post, Private posts and Automatic story tabs have separate settings. Start with the stream you need and prepare its collections.
Fill the source collection
For standard posts, Unly uses
unly_postas the default source andunly_postedas the published destination in MYM Cloud. Use the collection names shown in your account's configuration. Leave files awaiting edits or approval elsewhere.Set the times and visibility
Choose your publishing times and check the account's time zone. Review whether each standard-post slot is public or private. The separate Private posts stream always publishes privately.
Add compatible captions
Unly chooses both the available media and the caption at random. Every caption in that stream should fit every file in its source collection. Keep dated announcements out of this pool.
Check Next publication
Enable the stream, wait for the settings to save, then read its status. Resolve any listed blocker, such as an empty collection, missing caption, conflicting time or reached public quota.
Verify what was published
At a configured posting time, once the publishing checks pass, Unly publishes a selected media item and moves it to the destination collection. Check Publication history for the time and visibility, then open MYM to review the actual post.
Visibility applies to the slot. If your standard-post schedule mixes public and private slots, keep every file in that source suitable for public posting. Use the separate Private posts stream for subscriber-only material.
For setup work beyond publishing, use the MYM automation readiness checklist. The Unly MYM page explains the wider workflow for messages, media and account configuration.
Write captions that survive a random pairing
A caption can be well written and still be wrong for the file that goes live. Review the whole pool together. For a collection of approved photos, a question about the image works across the set. A promise about tomorrow's video needs an individually planned post.
Which detail caught your eye?
This asks about the image without promising a release, naming an outfit or depending on yesterday's post.
The full video from this shoot goes live tonight.
Use this only with the matching preview and a confirmed release. It needs a fixed date and a real offer behind it.
Remove captions that mention a price, a deadline or a specific outfit unless every possible pairing remains accurate. To vary the tone, write different questions or observations that still fit the approved collection.
Plan a week you can still adjust
Write down the purpose of the week's content before configuring slots. Unly's configured times repeat each day. The plan below gives you checkpoints for managing your content pools. Use recurring automation for a coherent pool; schedule date-specific announcements individually.
| Checkpoint | Content decision | Action |
|---|---|---|
| Before the week starts | Choose ready previews and subscriber content. | Separate the collections and review captions with their possible media. |
| Early in the week | Give visitors a useful preview of the account. | Run public posts from the approved pool and check the first publication. |
| Midweek | Give subscribers fresh material. | Review the private stream and check that the offer mentioned in any teaser is available. |
| When an offer is ready | Explain what the fan can buy. | Prepare its push or private media message separately; check audience, content and price. |
| At the end of the week | Decide what to keep, replace or reuse. | Review the history, remaining files, fan responses and time spent managing the schedule. |
Choose a frequency you can supply with finished content. Check the public quota shown in Unly before adding slots. Leave room to respond to a real update without having to dismantle a month of scheduled announcements.
Recycle media after an editorial review
Unly's Recycle media action moves already-posted media back to the source. If you enable post lifecycle with the Delete action, the settings also expose Automatic recycling. At a configured posting time, if the source is empty, it can move already-posted media back and publish one in the same run.
- Still accurate? Remove files tied to an expired offer, an old announcement or a release that has changed.
- Still useful? Reuse a strong evergreen preview when it has a place in the current plan. Replace a tired sequence of near-identical images.
- Still correctly paired? Check the captions again, especially references to something being new or available tonight.
- Still in the right collection? Confirm that material meant for subscribers or a paid offer cannot enter a public slot.
Start with automatic recycling disabled while you establish your first routine. If you later enable it, keep the published collection limited to content you are willing to repeat. An empty source can also be your cue to prepare a new batch.
Measure the workflow before changing the schedule
Compare similar weeks for the same account. Record how much time you spend preparing media, managing publishing and correcting mistakes. Check whether the intended posts appeared and whether the content stayed varied. These observations tell you whether automation helped the work.
Then review fan responses and the sales you can connect to a specific offer. Keep a note of the related post, push or conversation so you can follow what happened. A higher total sales figure alone cannot tell you which post helped, especially if you changed prices, traffic or messaging during the same week.
Keep the schedule when it reduces routine work and the published content remains accurate.
Refresh the pool when similar images or captions keep repeating.
Review the offer when people respond to previews but the paid content or message does not match their interest.
Use the creator KPI guide to choose the next change. If the remaining work is in conversations, review following up with fans without spam.
Start with one approved publishing stream
Connect your MYM account to Unly, prepare its media collection, add compatible captions and set the times. Check Next publication, then review the first post on MYM before expanding the routine.
