OnlyFans management agency: what it actually does for a creator

An agency should take responsibility for a clear scope of work, with commercial rules and a way to check delivery. Here is what that looks like in practice.

Know what you are delegating

An OnlyFans management agency takes on a defined part of a creator’s business. That can include fan conversations, paid content sales, publishing, promotion and reporting. You should be able to name the work, see how it is done and check what it costs.

Unly gives that daily work a practical setup: connected creator accounts, configurable AI chatting, media settings and account statistics. Start with the responsibilities and rules you want the tool and your team to follow.

What should an OnlyFans management agency actually do?

OFM means OnlyFans Management. A chatting service can handle the inbox while you keep content planning and promotion. A broader agency can take on those tasks too. Ask which services you are buying before comparing quotes.

Turn an agency’s service list into work you can check
ServiceWork to agreeEvidence to review
ChattingReply during agreed coverage, understand requests and flag exceptions.Actual conversations in native messaging, a coverage plan and a named reviewer.
Paid content salesPrepare approved offers, accurate descriptions and pricing rules for existing media.A catalogue you can match to the messages and content sent.
Content operationsPlan production and publication; assign creation, editing, approval and posting.A calendar showing the deliverable, owner and deadline.
PromotionOperate the specific social channels or campaigns included in the agreement.Published work, time spent and source tracking where available.
ReportingReview sales, service quality, costs and the next action.A report with a defined period and a fee calculation you can reconcile.

If an agency sells “full management” but expects you to publish every post and run every social account, write those tasks as excluded. That makes its quote comparable with the actual service offered. For the wider business model, read what OnlyFans management involves.

How an agency should organise the daily work

Before the first shift, write a brief covering the creator’s tone, available offers, price rules and requests that need approval. Add replies the creator has approved. Then use a repeatable shift routine so the quality does not depend on who happens to be online.

  1. Open the shift with unfinished requests.

Read recent conversations in native messaging. Find pending orders, unanswered questions and promises the previous person made.

  2. Check the offers available today.

Review catalogue descriptions, approved prices and any changes from the creator. Confirm what is ready to send and what still needs a decision.

  3. Reply within the brief.

Answer the fan’s request and offer relevant, approved content. Pass custom requests or exceptions to the named decision-maker before committing.

  4. Review quality during the shift.

Have the reviewer check actual replies and offers. Correct inaccurate descriptions or missed instructions; if the agent needs correction, pause it at account level in Unly.

  5. Close with a clear handover.

Record unresolved requests, confirmed deadlines and who will handle them next. Name the owner of any settings correction and when it will be checked.

Approved reply

What would you like included? I’ll check the request before confirming the price and delivery date.

Team action: pass the details to the creator. Confirm the scope, price and deadline before taking the order. The reply gathers useful information without promising unapproved work.

Use the same rule for a request outside the catalogue, a complaint or a change to an existing order. A shift change should not leave the next person guessing what was promised. The guide to what to automate and what to keep human develops this division.

What should stay under the creator’s control?

Agree who can change prices, publish content, accept custom orders and use the creator’s personal details. Keep a record of authorised access and how it will be removed when the working relationship ends. Decide this while setting up the account.

Creator decisions

Content boundaries, personal information, custom commitments and approval of the commercial brief. The agency should know which changes require a new decision.

Agency responsibilities

Deliver the agreed work, train the people doing it, review quality and report exceptions. Name the person accountable for correcting a problem.

Account visibility

Agree how the creator can inspect conversations, reporting and changes. Include an exit procedure covering access, outstanding orders and the return or deletion of working files.

Access works differently across platforms. For a creator who also uses Fansly, its official Management Sessions let a manager receive controlled access without the creator’s login credentials; permissions can be changed and sessions revoked. Verify the access method for each platform you delegate.

Commission: compare the fee with the work and the calculation base

A commission percentage is incomplete without the amount it applies to. Ask whether the agency charges on fan payments or receipts after platform deductions, which sales are included and how refunds are handled. Then list any separately billed tools, promotion or other services.

Agency fee = agreed commission base × contracted rate

Balance after operating costs = settled platform receipts − agency fee − separately billed costs

Use the same period and currency for every amount. Reconcile deductions and refunds once, so the same adjustment is not subtracted twice.

For a worked calculation, assume $1,000 in fan payments, $800 in settled platform receipts, $50 in separate costs and a quoted commission of 30%. Keep those inputs fixed and change only the commission base.

Same quoted rate, different commission bases
Commission baseAgency feeBalance after the listed costs
Fan payments: $1,000$1,000 × 30% = $300$800 − $300 − $50 = $450
Settled receipts: $800$800 × 30% = $240$800 − $240 − $50 = $510

The fee differs by $60 even though the quoted rate is identical. Replace the inputs with your statement and the agency’s quote when comparing offers.

Ask the agency to calculate one invoice using your own statement. Two quotes with the same percentage can produce different fees if their calculation bases differ. Your comparison should also show which tasks you still perform and which expenses remain yours.

Use the guide to an agency’s full cost to build that comparison. An increase in total sales alone does not tell you whether the agency increased what you keep after its fees and operating costs.

How to check whether the work is useful

Agree a review schedule and inspect the same account over clearly defined periods. Check sales alongside the work delivered and what changed: traffic, content, prices, available media or message coverage. A successful social post can bring more buyers without proving that a new chatting script caused the increase.

  • Sales: reconcile the relevant platform reports, the agency’s calculation and separate expenses.
  • Conversations: inspect replies in native messaging for accurate offers, respected boundaries and unresolved requests.
  • Delivery: match the content calendar and promotion plan to what actually went live.
  • Your workload: record what you still handle and what the team took off your plate.
  • Next action: assign one correction, its owner and a review date.

Keep Unly’s sales and activity statistics separate from the platform’s settled receipts. Use Unly to follow account activity, then use native statements to reconcile payouts and costs. The creator dashboard guide explains what to check before changing scripts or prices.

Choose an agency by checking its method

Ask the agency to show how it would handle a normal fan request, an unavailable custom order and a complaint. Have it identify the decision-maker for each case. You learn more from that walkthrough than from a screenshot of another account’s revenue.

Then ask for a written service scope, fee calculation, review schedule and exit procedure. A promise of guaranteed income cannot explain who will do the work or how they will adapt it to your account. If those answers are missing, the offer is not ready to evaluate.

If the main workload you want to delegate is routine chatting, compare a narrower service with running it yourself using an agency or an AI tool. If you need promotion and content direction too, make those services explicit.

Use Unly to put the operating brief into practice

Unly helps creators and agencies organise AI chatting and media sales across connected accounts. Turn the approved brief into account settings, then review what happens in the platform’s native messaging.

Configure each account

Set the agent’s personality and instructions for that creator. Choose whether the agent replies to all fans, a selected list or everyone except excluded fans.

Prepare offers

Set media descriptions and base prices, then review the catalogue’s price variation settings. Use the reply and PPV pricing guide to keep those decisions consistent.

Review and pause

Follow account statistics and inspect the actual exchanges in native messaging. Unly’s account control lets you pause the agent while your team reviews an issue and corrects the settings.

Start with one connected account and an approved catalogue. Your team remains responsible for promotion, content decisions and custom commitments. Use the first review to decide what to adjust before expanding to more accounts.
